Hey Kids!
Well it’s fast approaching…the 2013 ROUGE ORLEANS! The date is set at February 8,9,& 10 of 2013 (Mardi Gras Weekend) You may register at:

The web site is NOT updated to 2013 info (i am currently working on that). I am playing with the idea of NOT starting the first wave on Friday night (the 8th, as it has been done in the past). We may do the race pre party and mandatory packet pick up on Friday the 8th. With the first 2 years of the RO under my belt and conversing with many of the runners of the RO, I feel it may be a better idea to move the first wave start to early Saturday morning. What that will mean is that ALL the waves will be pushed back a bit, but even better, those early wave starters will only be running through one night! What that will also mean is that the race will be finishing all day Sunday (the 10th) late into the evening… just in time for the Bacchus parade! Woohoo!!!!! I’ll let you know.
***IMPORTANT*** If you are running the RO and want to stay in New Orleans after the race, book your hotels NOW! Mardi Gras fills up those hotels fast. And the side that we run into Audubon Park from…there won’t be traffic, but the other side…well good luck. REALLY, start looking into hotels NOW! The Belle of Baton Rouge is our Hotel sponsor, just like last year (right near the start), but that is in Baton Rouge. We have not secured a hotel sponsor in New orleans yet.
